The mission of the Impact Ministry is to enrich the lives of individuals 55+
by providing opportunities for service, fellowship, and growth through educational workshop, volunteer service, and activities that encourages physical and mental development. The group meets at the church on the second Wednesday of each month from 11:00am – 12:00pm.
Our Volunteer service includes serving lunch once a month at the YWCA Family Shelter from 11:00am – 1:00pm, assisting “Joni and Friends” with monthly service projects on an as-needed Basis, and serving wherever duty calls. The Ministry also organizes a Spa Day at the annual “Joni’s Get Away” event at a State Park each July as well as provides the refreshments.
We also sponsor several one-day trips to go shopping, go to dinner theater for lunch or enjoy a day in Amish Country. A three-day trip to Sight and Sound or a five-day trip to Niagara Falls opens a door for fellowship and education opportunities that are unmatched.
Cruises, Black history trips, as well as trips to Washington D.C., Niagara Falls, Mackinac Island, Cape Cod, or Vegas are excursions we have sponsored. On these overnight trips, people might need a roommate or a friend to join them or you can have a single room if preferred. Prices are reasonable and payment plans are available for these trips.
